Desktop Gremlins is a transparent, always-on-top desktop pet that evolves as you spend time with it. Feed it, pet it, entertain it, and watch as a tiny slime gradually transforms into a powerful dark sorceress. Just don’t forget to take care of your gremlin — or be prepared to face the consequences!
🌱 Evolve Your Companion
Begin as a tiny slime and progress through four unique stages of evolution. Each character has its own appearance, animations, dialogue, and personality. Feeding, petting, and other interactions grant experience and help your gremlin evolve.
😈 Chaos Mode
Want to cause a little mayhem? Enable Chaos Mode and give your gremlin complete freedom. It can shake and move windows, rearrange desktop icons, spin your browser, flash the taskbar, and perform other unexpected pranks.
Your gremlin will make sure it gets noticed.
🎵 Music and Application Reactions
Your gremlin dances when it hears music and reacts differently when you open Steam, Discord, Visual Studio Code, Photoshop, and other applications. It carefully watches what you are doing and always has an opinion.

Want to share your own character? The built-in upload tool validates the structure and dimensions of your sprites, then allows you to publish a complete sprite pack directly to the Steam Workshop.
