Echoes of Mora VR

Echoes of Mora VR is a story-driven exploration game set in a sunken village. Players swim through flooded houses and streets, search for hidden objects and find traces of the people who once lived there. The story is self-contained and lasts around two to three hours.

Movement is based on motion tracking, with players swimming, climbing and exploring using their arm movements. Optional joystick locomotion is available. The game has no time pressure. Hidden beneath the water are portals called Echoes, each sealed until its fragments are found in secret locations or behind small puzzles. Unlocking an Echo takes the player into the village as it was before the flood, with dry land and people in the streets. There the player meets Mora, a girl searching for her missing brother, who is the only character able to see them. The player shares discoveries from the deep to guide her search. Hidden Traces can also be listened to in order to learn about the villagers.

The game supports all PC-based VR headsets. It also has a full non-VR mode, and players can switch to flatscreen through the in-game menu and continue from the same point without restarting.
