Mars Attracts

Mars Attracts is a theme park management game based on the Mars Attacks universe. Players take the role of a Martian CEO building an amusement park on Mars, where humans taken from Earth’s past are kept in enclosures for Martian visitors to observe. The game has now left early access and is fully released.

Park management covers rides, human enclosures, food vendors, merchandise stalls and decorations, all of which are unlocked over time. Porters can be assigned to handle supply chains, and a financial system lets players set prices and take out loans to keep the park profitable. A board of Martian executives sets optional missions and carries out park inspections, and completing these earns their approval.

Humans are gathered through abduction missions to eras such as Ancient Rome and the Wild West. Each has individual traits and preferences, and players learn about each time period in order to furnish enclosures with decor found on expeditions. Historical figures including Julius Caesar, Cleopatra and Date Masamune can be collected. Humans who become unhappy may break out and attack guests, so security staff and defences are needed. Experiments on captive humans unlock new buildings and staff abilities through a research tree. Surplus humans can be dissected to make park decorations, and torture devices and merchandise made from body parts can be built to satisfy guests.
