Nice Day for Fishing

Nice Day for Fishing is a fantasy adventure game centred on Baelin, a fisherman who becomes an Adventurer after the heroes of Azerim disappear. Set in the town of Honeywood and the surrounding lands of Azerim, the game combines exploration above ground and underwater with fishing-based combat used to progress through quests and confront an encroaching evil force.

Combat involves battling fish using precision timing and magic spells, with different bait types suited to different catches. Players can upgrade Baelin’s rod, fishing line and equipment, including tools such as a magnet hook for retrieving treasure and a drill for breaking through cave walls to reach new areas. Underwater currents affect hook movement, and deeper waters contain tougher fish, including boss encounters.

Progression also includes rebuilding Honeywood using resources recovered from sunken shipwrecks, with help from town characters such as the Woodcutter. Upgrading buildings unlocks additional equipment and quests from merchants. Completing fish collections from each region and offering them at a statue dedicated to a fishing god grants further skill upgrades. The game is officially licensed by Viva La Dirt League.
