Grow a living Amazon rainforest from scratch, click by click, until the whole ecosystem starts running itself.

Polyzonia is an ecosystem simulation set in the Amazon rainforest. Players begin with a barren patch of land and develop it over time by growing plants, forming habitats, and introducing animals once suitable conditions are met. As the ecosystem progresses, seedlings grow into trees, flowers bloom, and fruit ripens, gradually building toward a functioning environment.

The core mechanic involves clicking to trigger ecological actions such as pollinating flowers, dropping fruit, hunting prey, creating burrows, releasing swarms, pupating butterflies, and dispersing seeds. These actions influence how the ecosystem develops rather than serving as decoration. Over time, players can unlock automation for actions they have performed manually, allowing the rainforest to eventually sustain and develop without direct input.

The game includes several distinct Amazon biomes, each with its own species and ecological actions. These include terra firma forests, whitewater floodplains, blackwater channels, coastal mangroves, and Andean cloud forests. Examples of biome-specific behaviour include fish gathering beneath flooded canopies, electric eels in blackwater channels, mangrove roots sheltering young animals, and cloud forest birds performing mating displays.
