Rue Valley

Rue Valley is a narrative-driven game set in a small town caught in a mysterious time loop. Players take on the role of a character trying to uncover the cause of the loop while interacting with a cast of characters, each dealing with their own emotional struggles that are revealed gradually through repeated encounters.

The game allows players to define their character’s personality, which influences dialogue choices and interactions throughout the story. Choices and conversations are tracked through a memory system represented as a graph, which unlocks new intentions and mindsets as the player progresses. These mindsets can affect how dialogue options appear and play out.

Status effects also alter the character’s personality temporarily, such as becoming more outgoing when drunk or more sensitive when anxious. Since the time loop resets each day, players can experiment with different responses and approaches across multiple playthroughs of the same events.
