Secrets of Temple Isle

Secrets of Temple Isle is an adventure RPG inspired by games from the golden era. The player takes the role of a renowned treasure hunter caught up in an invasion of a peaceful island by time-travelling pirates. The aim is to reclaim the island and its towns for the local people, defeat enemies and learn to use an ancient power that flows through the island. The game was previously known as Wacambria Island and has been renamed.

Combat is melee-based, using swords and shields, and enemy creatures attack with high-damage strikes. Characters are developed through levelling and by finding weapons and armour across the island and its ruins. Exploration takes place in a large open island with varied biomes, including dense jungles and arid ruins, as well as temples, caves and ancient towns. Hand-made cavern layouts contain secret chambers, relics and gear, along with classic hazards such as pressure plates, shooting darts, fall damage and spike traps. Levels use a retro-inspired design with third-person controls and a modern camera system.

Treasure found during play can be spent on gear, cosmetics, decorations and food. Unlocking all the secrets in a zone rewards the player with a special currency used to buy rare items. Players can also purchase one of several homes on the island and decorate it with items from shops or items found in the world. A freeform editor allows objects to be rotated, moved and scaled to create custom layouts without boundaries.
